Ingredients for Egg Custard:
Eggs (at room temperature) – 2
Water (at room temperature) – as needed
Salt – as needed
Chopped green onions – as needed
Method for Egg Custard:
Step 1: Crack two eggs (at room temperature) and whisk them until well mixed. Add water (at room temperature) in a ratio of approximately 1:2 for eggs to water. Since there is no sieve at home, it is necessary to let the mixture rest for 5 minutes to allow the foam to dissipate.
Step 2: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in a pot with cold water. Steam over medium heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it rest for an additional 2 minutes with the lid on.
Step 3: Season with soy sauce or other desired seasonings to taste, and it’s ready to serve.
